Great news UK fans, Pushing Daisies is finally coming back to our tv screens! Season 2 will air on ITV1 on Fridays at 10pm, starting from Friday 30th January (next week).
Quirky US drama about a man with the ability to bring dead people back to life. Emerson is hired by Dusty Fitz, whose wife Kentucky died in a tragic bee-related incident. Dusty claims his wife was having an affair but was about to leave her lover, and Dusty suspects murder. Meanwhile, Lily helps Olive move to a nunnery.
I just found some GORGEOUS pictures of Anna, featured in February issue of Esquire. Thanks to ramfam for scanning it.
An excerpt of the interview:
Yes, i’m a lesbian icon. Which is not a bad thing. But as an actress, you don’t really distinguish. It’s like ‘Oh, there’s a supple pair of flips.’

Anna Friel started filming an episode of the Jimmy McGovern drama series The Street yesterday (Jan 8th). The occasion marked a rare return to work in Britain for the actress.
Ms Friel has been spending most of her time in Los Angeles recently, while working on the TV series Pushing Daisies. McGovern’s scripts are individual gems - which is why so many established names campaign for parts in the BBC drama.
Bob Hoskins shot a recent episode, and Robin Hood’s Jonas Armstrong plays a soldier returning home after combat in Afghanistan.
Anyway, Anna’s moment in The Street has her playing a young mother who works two jobs - by day, she toils away at a B&Q store, by night she dances in a club - to earn enough money to send her two children to a decent school.
Daniel Mays, star of the forthcoming edgy movie Swifty, plays a plumber who meets Anna’s character.

Bad news and very good news for Pushing Daisies fans, straight from star Kristin Chenoweth: The final episodes, when and if they eventually air, won’t resolve all of the plotlines on the show — but show creator Bryan Fuller has an idea for a movie that would.
“It would wrap up a lot of the unanswered questions that people will have once they finally air our final episodes,” the singer-actress told TVGuide.com.
And is Fuller pushing ABC to air those episodes?
“It’s way too good to push on somebody,” she said. “You either air it and let the world see it or — you know, that show, I’m sorry if it sounds arrogant, but it’s the best thing ever.”
Fuller himself hinted at the possibility at a recent appearance at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills, where he also talked about his longstanding idea of resolving the story in comic-book form.
For those of you who were expecting to turn on ABC tonight (Jan. 7th) at 8pm and watch one of the last new episodes of Pushing Daisies, don’t bother.
Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello reports that a new episode of Pushing Daisies was indeed supposed to air tonight, but that ABC “pulled it at the last minute.” Instead, they’re repeating the two episodes of Scrubs that ran … last night.
Creator and producer Bryan Fuller (now back on Heroes) says the remaining episodes “are not on the schedule right now … and that’s all we know.” I guess there’s a chance that all or some of the remaining episodes could be shown later, but there’s probably an even better chance you’ll have to watch them online or in the Pushing Daisies: The Complete Second Season DVD.
We would like to wish to all visitors, friends, affiliates and Anna fans a happy holidays season, full of health, peace, love and happiness.

Anna Friel is not letting any moss grow under her feet after ABC’s “Pushing Daisies.” The actress will take to the big screen with Jesse Eisenberg in “The Wedding“, an as-yet-unowned studio romantic comedy that centers on the highs and lows of young love, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Eisenberg is slated to play a young man who crashes Friel’s wedding, due to his infatuation with her.
“Juno” collaborator Jason Reitman will executive produce, and possibly direct the flick.
Friel will be seen in theaters in the sci-fi comedy adventure “Land of the Lost” next summer. Eisenberg was last seen in “The Hunting Party” with Richard Gere and James Brolin in 2007. He can be seen in “Adventureland” with Kristen Stewart in March 2009.
