Anna Friel has joined Will Ferrell on the red carpet at the Hollywood premiere of their new film Land Of The Lost.
The former Brookside actress arrived late to the screening at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, leaving it to her co-stars Will Ferrell and Danny McBride to do most of the talking about the movie - an adaptation of the 1970s US television drama.
“There’s plenty of television shows as movies that I’ve said no to,” said Will, when asked why he accepted the role of park ranger Dr Rick Marshall in the fantasy flick.
“But this was particularly appealing because of my affinity for the show.”
I added some MQ pictures of “Land of the Lost” press conference, done last May 29 at the Hollywood Palladium, in LA.
As promised, here’s the first batch: 61 high quality pictures of Anna attending the “Land of the Lost” premiere yesterday.

Actress Anna Friel is to star in a West End stage production of Truman Capote’s novella Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
The ex-Brookside star will play Holly Golightly, the role Audrey Hepburn played in the Oscar-winning 1961 film.
Friel, 32, said she was “delighted to have been given the opportunity to play one of my all time favourite heroines”.
The show will open in September at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, where Sir Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart are now appearing in Waiting for Godot.
Anna Friel has set herself a hectic schedule as she prepares to transform into Holly Golightly, the heroine of Truman Capote’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
Anna described Holly as a ‘bad little good little girl’.
‘Holly’s a heroine for a lot of females because she doesn’t follow the rules,’ she added.
The actress, confirming a story this column broke, will play Holly in an adaptation of Capote’s novel on the London stage in September — nearly half a century after Audrey Hepburn portrayed Holly on the big screen.
‘My Holly will have a lot more rough edges than Audrey’s,’ Anna told me.
Playwright Samuel Adamson has adapted Capote’s story for a production that will begin previews at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket, on September 9, with a gala first night on September 29.
Anna also revealed director Sean Mathias has decided to use the Academy Award-winning song Moon River in the play. (more…)
